Membership

The main difference between “attenders” and “members” at Inland Hills Church comes down to one word: commitment. Members of Inland Hills Church aren’t just names in a database—they’re the core of our church! Members are committed to becoming authentic followers of Christ and to being an active part of church life. As in Acts 2:42, members here are devoted “to the fellowship”—to a specific local body.

Requirements
To become a member of Inland Hills Church, you need to have asked Jesus to be the leader and forgiver for your life. You also need to attend Starting Point. At this class, Pastor Dave will share IHC’s history, and you’ll learn about our vision, values, strategy, and structure as well as our beliefs.

After that, all that’s left is for you to decide if you’re ready to commit to being a participating member of IHC. At Starting Point, you’ll have the opportunity to sign a membership certificate that outlines the commitments all church members are asked to make.

Membership Commitment
At Inland Hills, we never ask our members to do more than the Bible clearly teaches. We only expect our members to do what the Bible expects every Christian to do. These responsibilities are spelled out in the Membership Commitment, which is summarized below:
