Mississippi
In the summer of 2005, many of us watched in horror as we saw the devastation ensued by Hurricane Katrina. Trees were mangled, houses were reduced to rubble, and many lives were lost. Inland Hills Church joined much of the Christian community in springing into action. Since 2005, we have been sending teams to help in the clean-up and rebuilding efforts in the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
While much progress has been made, there is still a lot to do. Past teams have included all age groups and life-stages. We have had 14 year old students working alongside retirees. Construction skills are extremely valuable, but definitely not a must. You'd be amazed at what you can learn to do in a day! Consider joining the next IMPACT team as we return to Mississippi to rebuild homes and restore lives. Our fellow citizens of the Gulf Coast have been through a lot, but are determined to dust themselves off and rebuild their lives.
